Dr. Jerry Underbrink
Dr. Jerry Underbrink was born and raised in South Texas. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1974. Following graduation, he completed an internship at Univ. of California, at Davis Veterinary Medicine Teaching Hospital in 1975. Dr. Underbrink opened the Animal Medical Clinic practice at this same location in 1977. He treats companion animals, exotics, equine, bovine and other farm animals. He is married to his lovely wife Carolyn, and they have 3 children and 2 grandsons.

Dr. Justin Harkey
Dr. Justin Harkey was born in Victoria, Texas and grew up in Port Lavaca. He received his bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M in 1998 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2004. He has been practicing at Animal Medical Clinic since then. He treats companion animals, exotics, equine and bovine. He is married to his beautiful wife Robin and has two children, Morgan and Levi. Dr. Harkey loves to spend his free time with his family. He also enjoys a little hunting and fishing every now and then.

Dana Bobbitt
Dana Bobbitt is our office manager. She has been working in the veterinary field since 1994. She has worked in every aspect of the field over the last 16 years. Dana and her family moved here from East Texas in the summer of 2007, and she has been at AMC since then. She and her husband Joe have 3 children, McKayla, Weston & Morgan. Their four legged family consists of 2 great danes, 2 pit bulls, a dachshund, and a tortise shell cat. In her spare time, you will normally find her at her children's sporting events. Dana and her family are active members of Retama Park Baptist Church.
Patricia Cumberland
Patricia Cumberland is our bookkeeper . She has been with AMC since 1985. Patricia was born in Kleberg Co. and has lived here all her life. She attended Riviera High School and graduated from Texas A&I University. She currently has no pets, but she loves to feed the birds at her house. Patricia is a active member of St Gertrude Catholic Church. She is married to Allan and has been for over 42 years. They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. Patricia's hobbies include: bird watching, baking, visiting grandchildren and volunteering around the community and at church.

Cassie Esparza
Cassie Esparza is our Kennel/Grooming Supervisor. She started with AMC in 2003 as a kennel attendant. Cassie has lived in the Kingsville/Bishop area all of her life. She attended TAMUK where she majored in criminology and minored in sociology, graduating in 2005. She and her husband BJ have two beautiful daughters named Nicole, who was born in February of 2008 and Brianna, born in October 2009. Most of Cassie's spare time these days is taken up by baby time. Cassie does enjoy playing softball when she gets a chance. Her pets include 4 chihuahuas and 3 pitbulls.

Anna Redeker
Anna Redeker is one of our technicians. She has been with AMC since 1998. Anna worked as a vet tech in College Station for 5 years prior to moving to Kingsville. She has a bachelors from Texas A&M in Wildlife Ecology. She has been a licensed wildlife rehabilitator for 10 years. She and her husband Eric currently have 9 dogs, 4 love birds, 1 iquana, 1 spiny lizard and 1 white's tree frog, all of which were rescued animals. Any spare time that Anna accquires is spent taking care of her critters. She does enjoy a little running time with her dogs, too.

Daniella (Dani) Garcia
Daniella (Dani) Garcia has been a vet technician here since August 2004. She is originally from San Antonio. Dani moved to Kingsville and acquired her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from TAMUK. She is a pre-vet student and we hope to have her back here in our office some day as a veterinarian. Dani likes to spend her free time playing softball and working out. She also enjoys spending time with her family.

Kim Gardner
Kim is a vet technician and has been with AMC since January 2006. She grew up in the Kingsville area and graduated from Bishop High School. Kim worked for Animal Care and Control in Corpus Christi for 8 yrs as an Animal Cruelty Investigator/Field Officer before coming to our practice. She has had horses all her life and rodeoed in high school. Kim's hobbies are bowhunting, fishing, and anything to do with her horses. She has a 12 yr old son named Ty that enjoys all the same hobbies as mom. They spend all their extra time together doing something outside.


This is Debbie Perea. She has been a receptionist with us since November 2007, and in October 2009 she moved to the position of Inventory Manager. Her husband George is in the Airforce. She and her 2 sons, Henry & Anthony, live in Bishop. (Henry works with us, also). Debbie's hobbies include beading jewlery, collecting antique furniture, and shopping. Debbie's pets include Tipsy the Poodle, 4 cats, and a visiting dachshund named Baby who is owned by her son's girlfriend.
Colene Solomon
Colene is one of our receptionists. She worked previsously for AMC in 2006 until her graduation from TAMUK in 2007. After working 1.5 yrs for the Center for Young Childern, Colene returned to AMC in April of 2009. Colene has been married to Travis Solomon from Falurrias since 2001 and has 2 beautiful boys ages 8 & 1. Her family consists of 4 legged children also: 2 dogs, Cipi & Sam, and 1 cat, Coyote. In her spare time Colene likes visiting with family and friends, cooking, sewing, listening to music and dancing. Colene and her family are members of the First United Methodist Church in Kingsville.

Samantha Gonzales is one of the newest receptionists. She started working for AMC as a kennel attendant in Oct 2006, and became a receptionist in March 2008. Samantha has lived in the Kingsville/Bishop area about 8 yrs and graduated from Bishop High School. She is attending Coastal Bend College. Her four legged child is a 3 yr old dachshund named Baby. She likes to spend her spare time with her boyfriend Henry. She is actively involved in her church youth group.
Macy Gutierrez
Macy is a receptionist and a part time kennel attedant with AMC. She started working with us in the kennel area in September of 2008. In summer of 2009 Macy also became a fulltime receptionist. She graduated from H.M. King High School and has lived in Kingsville all her life. She loves animals and is pictured here with her cocker spaniel "Noah".

Cindy Moreno
This is Cindy Moreno, she is the groomer. She has been at AMC since 1998. Cindy and her husband Joey have one son named Joseph. Cindy has lived in the Kingsville area all of her life and graduated from H.M. King. Her pets include 3 dogs and 2 cats. Cindy likes to work outside in the yard when she is away from the clinic.

Michael Esparza
Michael Esparza is our bather. He started with AMC in May of 2004. Michael has lived in the Bishop/Kingsville area all of his live. He graduated from Bishop High School where he was involved in both football and basketball. He likes to spend his spare time hanging out with friends, going to movies, working out and watching sports. He also plays for the clinic sponsored softball team.

Dariel Rios
Dariel Rios is a kennel attendant. He graduated from Bishop High School. Dariel has lived in the Bishop/Kingsville area for 17 years. He plays on the clinic sponsored soft ball team in the spring. In the rest of his off time, he likes to hang out with friends and play sports.
Henry Perea Not pictured yet... Henry is a kennel attendant and started with AMC in March of 2008. Henry spends his time away from the clinic attending Coastal Bend College. When he is not studying, he is either spending time with his girlfriend Samantha or hunting. Henry has a rottweiler named "Grizzlee".
